Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer Location: Midtown Manhattan ,NY Duration: 6+ Months Long Term Rate: Negotiable Senior Systems Engineer The primary responsibility of this position will be to develop and maintain application and system processes. Assume the lead role on working with end users to define, collect requirements and develop reports. Ensure that projects adhere to consistent development standards and any implementation and dependency risks are identified and mitigated. Job Description: * Candidate will gather, review, and validate business needs, system and reporting requirements from business end users and determine/recommend best tools and methods for developing reports. * Candidate will design, develop and automate internal processes for Enterprise Resource Planning application (Sales Force, HRIS, Stepwise etc) using Crystal Reports/MS services etc. * Candidate will have expert knowledge of Crystal Reports and SQL and have the ability to design high level business reports. * Candidate must have experience with managing report security via Active Directory or LDAP authentication o Design and code web sites including intranet and live web per business needs. Ability to integrate with backend databases if necessary. o Enforce display standards across entire enterprise working with marketing and other departments. o Compile usage reports for internal as well as external websites to management. o Management of web content, to ensure adherence to applicable enterprise standards and design. This includes the physical uploading of content to the sites. o Research new web application technologies, which can aid in the design, development process as well as provide direct solutions for the business. o Provide web expertise and analysis when interfacing with Principal Financial Group. This includes providing advice, models and other design exhibits used to provide & clarify requirements. Skills: * Must have between 3-5 years using MS report writing tools. * Must have 3 - 5 years of work in MS SQL (2000 and 2005). He/She must have knowledge of indexing and table design. * VB, .Net, c# experience is a MUST * Ability to gather, validate, document, estimate and manage requirements * Ability to develop ad-hoc queries using SQL (SQL, Oracle or XML) * Ability to develop database Views, & Stored Procedures * Develop and maintain Crystal Reports .rpt files * Working knowledge of MS VSS In depth experience with SDLC Thank you for your time and have a great day!
