Conducts compliance monitoring and management activities in areas of policy and standards. Contributes to the development of information security compliance monitoring and management methodology, procedures and practice, Conducts gap analysis and makes recommendations for changes in existing policies, operational and technical standards based upon findings. Develops checklists and other tools in support of technical/administrative audits. 25 E *2.* Support and manage IT security solutions including Strong Authentication, authentication, audit and logging, SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) and web-filtering applications. 25 E 3. Participate in IT projects by providing IT Security support architecture, and process/procedure/technical support. 15 E 4. Conducts vulnerability assessments and management for all systems and environments. Develops and manages vulnerability assessments and management processes and procedures. 15 E 5. Develops and updates County IT security policies, processes, procedures and standards. 15 E 7. Performs other duties as assigned. 05 N *Minimum Qualifications:* *Education, Experience and Training:* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or in a technical job related field of study. Five (5) years of work-related experience as IT Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Network Engineer including IT security solution implementation, coordination of IT risk assessments/audits and development/management of audit-finding remediation plans. *Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* Prior experience using IT security software – SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), network scanning software, 2-Factor Authentication and Internet/e-mail filtering. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation preferred. Thorough knowledge of multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, databases, application development platforms and software communications and network protocols, and common data security tools such as intrusion prevention and virus protection systems. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, with a good driving record.
