*Job Description:               *

We are looking for an experienced Test Data Management Engineer to join the
QVC Test Data Management team. Test Data Management Engineer will be
responsible for the extraction/creation, transformation and loading of
datasets to the QVC lower environment across all markets. This will include
the review of requirements and test cases from both developers and testers
to find the best test data sets or creation of test data sets where
applicable to fit the needs of the requirements and test cases. The Test
Data Management Engineer will then validate that the correct test data sets
have been delivered to the customer (i.e. QA, developers, performance team)
to ensure a quality delivery of data. The Test Data Management Engineer
will also be responsible for ensuring that these extraction, transformation
and loading techniques are automated where necessary to ensure the ease of
delivery of test data sets in the future that are in-line with the
guidelines given by the Test Data Management Methodologist. Ideal
candidates will be passionate about exceeding client expectations and will
be driven to learn new technologies and database systems. In addition,
candidates must be able to understand complex data structures, and have a
strong understanding of logical and physical database design. Previous QVC
experience is highly desired.



Skills and Requirements

•             Expertise in  ETL, especially Informatica and AQT

•             Responsible for hands on development using PL/SQL, Hayes Gold
Client (SAP), Golden Gate (Siebel), and Informatica ETL tools, SQL, AQT,
and processes.

•             Solid understanding of SDLC, software best practices and
development methodologies

•             Experience with data warehousing and star-schema
(dimensional) data models a plus

•             Knowledge of topics such as clustering, queuing and BIDW a
plus

•             Knowledge of some Linux/Unix operating systems and shell
languages is a plus

•             Knowledge of .NET languages and/or Python is a plus

•             Knowledge of CA Datamaker is a plus

•             Besides SQL Server, experience in various databases, such as
Teradata, UDB, DB2, and/or Oracle is a plus
