Role: PHP Developer/Drupal Developer Duration: Above 5 months Location: New Haven, CT 06511 Interview: Face to Face **Preferred Local Candidates** Description: Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of administrative web presence. Ensures site meets business needs of the organization. Monitors changes and design through governance and technical support or triage. Monitors analytics, oversees voice and tone, page security protection and provides training on how to use site. Work with Drupal CMS in YaleSites platform. Position Focus: Working under the direction of the Director of Web Services in Change Leadership & Communications, provides the university's Finance unit with support, knowledge, guidance and strategy to advance administrative web presence objectives. Principal Responsibilities: 1. The successful candidate MUST have expert writing skills and be able to share examples of recent web content that they have authored. 2. Leads and serves as project manager for administrative web presence. Supports Director of Web Services in providing data and documentation. Attends regular website progress meetings. 3. Assists in training of author/editors on new administrative web presence. 4. Manages network of content contributors across multiple departments to ensure accuracy, consistency and elimination of duplicative content. 5. Provides quality management to assure accuracy and consistency. 6. Monitors site analytics and creates reports for stakeholders and leadership. 7. Monitors and manages requests for website changes. 8. Works collaboratively with ITS on escalation of support triage, committees and project teams. 9. Works within governance guidelines on website enhancements or changes. 10. Ensures content is written with proper voice and tone according to AP Style. 11. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Skill/Ability 1: The successful candidate MUST have expert writing skills and be able to share examples of recent web content that they have authored. Required Skill/Ability 2: Expert in Drupal (or comparable CMS), creating content types, views, feeds and workflow. Expert in MS Office, browser compatibility, information architecture, site mapping, web development, HTML and CSS. Required Skill/Ability 3: Ability to collaborate, gain and maintain trust. Excellent customer service, problem-solving and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently. Required Skill/Ability 4: Demonstrated ability to understand clients' needs, recommend and develop collaborative solutions and formulate communications accordingly. Required Skill/Ability 5: Strong knowledge of web and web design principles. Proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator. Demonstrated ability to juggle several tasks simultaneously, calmly and on deadline, even under pressure.
