If interested please reply back with your word formatted resume. *Role: Database Sr. Manager* *Work Location: Cumberland, RI* *12 + Months * *Position Summary – * This Database Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing a team of engineering / DBA professionals who deliver and maintain all services and solutions relating to Database infrastructure. This is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of both Oracle and SQL database platforms. High level database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database manager will oversee. Additional knowledge of other DBMS platforms such as SQL Server and EssBase are also a plus. Must have experience in managing both onshore and offshore resources in a 24x7 environment. Also, must be process driven *PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* List four or five primary responsibilities of the position in the space provided below, indicating the most important functions first and the approximate percentage of time spent on each 1. Manage DBA team of approximately 60 (+/-) split between FTE/Contractors supporting our development, UAT and performance test environments. 2. Coordinate and contribute to performance and Disaster Recovery testing on a quarterly basis. 3. Services delivered include general consulting, project build work, general administration, 3rd level support, migration and/or transition planning, performance and tuning, project planning, standards validation/development, technical documentation, process automation, and problem analysis and resolution. 4. Manage resource allocation and maintain staffing levels 5. Work with the Operations DBA team to collaborate effectively and turnover defect free systems with a warranty period. 6. Establish individual performance goals, review performance against goals and provide coaching for associate development 7. Manage resource scheduling and task execution to plans and objectives. Maintain a high level understanding of dependencies between projects ensure timely completion. 8. Development and continuous refinement of documented database strategies in order to provide a scalable and manageable environment for future growth. Heavy emphasis on automation. *REQUIRED SKILLS*: In order of importance, list specific skills or talents which a qualified incumbent should possess (i.e. computer literacy, subject knowledge, etc.) 1. Highly organized, ability to multitask and manage projects effectively 2. Strong ability to lead both onshore and offshore teams as well as contractor 3.
