Role: Applications Systems Engineer (MIDDLEWARE) Location: Remote Work Duration: Long Term Interview: Phone GC/USC ONLY Description: · Join existing automation/scripting team in supporting automation solutions and compliance scripts using HP Server Automation and HP Operations Orchestration (HPSA,HPOO). · Candidate will have excellent communication skills and a focus on customer needs. · Engineer will work daily with automation team and middleware business partners in our coordination of enhancements and bug fixes. · Due to the complexity of the environment and integration with multiple applications (HPDMA, HPSA, HPOO) strong technical skills are required. · The automation team is offering a position in support Python/Shell scripting language. · The Ideal candidate will have experience with HPSA Infrastructure and scripting skills and a background in Middleware products like WebLogic Server, Apache HTTP server, JBOSS, Websphere and or Apache Tomcat. · A foundation in UNIX/Linux is required. Solid experience is required in analysis, troubleshooting, etc. · Must have experience in administration of Middleware products. · As an absolute minimum candidate must be able to read, and write basic shell/python scripts & utilities from scratch. Minimum Requirements: · HP Server Automation or similar automation tool. · Shell scripting (sh/bash/ksh/csh/python) Pluses: HPOO, OGSH, Oracle SQL Developer, Workflow Automation, RHEL, Solaris, Windows (2k-2k8). · Must be able to support on-call rotation. Minimum Qualifications: (Must Have) · 3+ Years OS (Unix, Linux, Windows) support with at least 2 years hands on experience with Unix/Linux. · 1+ year of shell/python scripting. · 1+ Middleware admin/support ( On Windows or Unix/Linux) experience. · 1+ Automation Tool Experience (Preferably HPDMA or HPSA) other automation tools will suffice. · Excellent communication skills and must be a team player. · Strong interpersonal skills in all mediums - phone, in-person, email, IM, working across several levels of the organization, participating group conference calls. · Prioritization, multi-tasking, autonomy, detail-oriented, collaborative. · Microsoft Office Skill set (Excel, Word, Access primarily). · Desire and aptitude for problem solving. · Positive attitude Preferred Skills. NICE to HAVE · HPSA, HPOO experience. · VMware tools experience. · Middleware, Database experience. · Hands-on experience with Networks and/or hardware. · PAC2000 Problem, Asset, and reporting experience. · Share Point experience. · Experience with or general knowledge of ITIL framework Trend analysis experience. · Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex systems and large scale enterprise infrastructure. · Knowledge of one or more SDTs in BANK.
