*Job Title: Sr PHP Developer with AWS Exp* *Location: Philadelphia, PA* *Rate: on C2C * Client is developing a customer portal to track installation, usage and referrals for Solar Home Customers. Leads programmer will interface with 3rd party aps, SF.COM and Ambassador. Candidate will need to know API's and use SQL to store local data. Must have 3 -5 years of PHP is backend Angular JS is client facing, JQuery and SQL. Customer portal and integration base product is completed and they are now building out features. Current Team of 2 developers, plus PM, BA and testers *Summary * Will design, develop, test, maintain and enhance application software programs. Will interface with users in order to determine requirements and deliver quality software which exceeds their expectations. Must have a strong desire to deliver well-designed and tested software. *Essential Duties/Responsibilities* • Follow and enhance the Team's Scrum / XP / TDD development techniques. Be adaptable to change. • Identify and recommend options, risks and alternatives to deliver a robust and stable web infrastructure. • Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize/reprioritize work when necessary. • Develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels of the company • Can work independently for design, development and testing. Seek out opportunities for improvement. • Regularly report status and raise issues/risks as appropriate. • Anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks. Eliminate roadblocks in your control. • Use appropriate change control procedures for implementing software enhancements. • Willing to work hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution and milestone time periods. • Remain abreast of current technologies and best practices as applicable to NRG. *Education* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant business discipline from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience. *Experience* A minimum of 3-5 years technical experience. 3+ years experience in a business process-based development environment using agile methods and open source tools preferred. Role Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Solid understanding of *PHP Development*. Understand and implement best practices. • Solid understanding of *Relational Database technology, in particular MySQL and/or PostgreSQL*. • Experience with *Python is a plus* • Fluent in testing software at *all levels, unit, system, and integration*. • Comfortable with *cloud development and deployment, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
