Plans and evaluates moderately complex existing network systems and makes recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment. Responsible for evaluating current systems and new products as assigned. Provides resolution for network problems. Assist in the planning of large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies providing assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture, and development of technical standards and interface applications. Requires thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks and applications with strong documentation and communication skills in both verbal and written forms. Typically requires a Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least two years of experience in telecom networks and two to five years of experience in computers.
