Rate: 50/hr max Interview: Phone Local candidate highly preferred Our Client, a leader in the energy industry, is hiring a Project Manager for a one year contract position. This position will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the Infrastructure Projects IT department. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of PM experience. Our client is looking for a positive upbeat individual to fit into our organization with excellent project management experience. Responsibilities: · Responsible and accountable for the execution of medium to large size projects and expected to be able to work collaboratively across both infrastructure and application areas · Oversee all aspects of projects. · Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project · Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects · Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project · Will work on more than one project if time allows, however the main project to begin will be the Oracle 12c upgrade project; experience in projects similar to this is a plus Qualifications: · Eight or more years of IT and Business experience Experience with an Oracle 12c upgrade project; experience in projects similar to this is a plus Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Able to handle fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities and have a solid background in project management. · Experience working in an infrastructure organization is a plus. · This will be an iterative waterfall approach, however some Agile concepts will be utilized as well. · Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. · Performs a variety of tasks. · Leads and directs the work of others. · A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
