This position is intended as a contract to hire or a contract position. At the conclusion of an evaluation period, qualified team members may be offered a permanent position at AWI. Compensation DOE. Responsibilities Apply object-oriented design principles, industry best practices (e.g. Design Patterns), and company policies and procedures to design and implement new features. Construct various application components using Swing, socket connections, multi-threading, multicast, and state of the art memory debugging / profiling tools. Review business requirements and use cases, and provide feedback to management and/or business analysts. Learn quickly and develop creative solutions, encompassing software integration, performance, reliability, manageability and security. Collaborate with other developers as well as with business management, configuration management, and quality assurance in order to complete their job responsibilities. Assist other developers in solving complex problems. Help troubleshoot critical issues in production.
