*Job Title: Senior Gateway Developer* *Location: Either NYC, NY or Chicago, IL* *Rate: Open * *Duration: 6 Months* *Note: * *Electronic trading industry experience is a Must. * *A solid business understanding of electronic markets, trading, and financial instruments is required. * * * *Reports To:* Development Team Lead * * *Role Summary: * The Software Developer designs and develops low-latency, high frequency electronic trading systems for all electronically-traded asset Classes. S/he will be a member of a small team using agile techniques for new development, enhancements, and bug-fixing. The development environment consists primarily of C++ on Linux and Solaris. *Responsibilities: * · Design and develop high quality software in a timely manner using object-oriented design principles, formal design patterns, unit-testing, design and code reviews, Scrum methodology, and other software development best practices. · Design software that is reusable, extensible, and interoperates seamlessly with current or new RTS architectures. · Proactively seek assistance when required, and actively contribute to team activities including design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring/pair-programming. · Assume full accountability for meeting his/her estimates for completion of work, and complying with RTS coding and quality standards. · Maintain a heightened sense of urgency for all work. · Continually investigate new software tools, technologies and industry practices that will benefit RTS. · Demonstrate increasing understanding of the business side of electronic trading, including trading strategies, financial markets and instruments, and industry trends. · Share responsibility for his/her career development and training needs with the Development Team Lead. *Skills Required: * · Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent · 7 years of C++ development experience in a Linux or Solaris environment · Experience with FIX, TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, socket-level programming, low-latency middleware, STL, Boost, ACE, multi- threaded programming, exchange trading and/or market data interfaces · Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. · Self-motivated, strong teamwork skills, and ability to work without close supervision. -- Neo Sr. Technical Recruiter 3 L’Amour CT, Dayton,New Jersey – 08810 | P: 201-204-3883 | F: 201-603-1326 | Web: www.augustuss.com Yahoo IM: neo.recruit...@yahoo.com | n...@augustuss.net -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
