The candidate will design, construct and test efforts with the current product line and future enhancements. The products execute in a n-tier distributed environment where the front-end consists of HTML and JSP screens with Application Servers on UNIX/Solaris machines that interfaces to the Oracle/Main Frame backends. The candidate will be responsible for re-engineering, design, code and test for Web related projects in our legacy platform *(C/C++/HTML/JSPs). The senior developer will provide experience and expertise in OOA/OOD using UML methods, SDLC using C/C++ (MUST HAVE REQUIREMENT) and/or Java (NICE TO HAVE) programming languages.* *The candidate must have development experience in a well-defined SLDC environment with CMM exposure as a big plus. The developers must have the ability to comprehend business and functional requirements and translate the requirements into design, code and test with ease of maintenance and flexibility as part of their solution. Must have proven experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The candidate must be self-motivated, high-energy and articulate. * The senior candidate will work closely with his/her management in defining the product vision and take on responsible for carrying out the plan. His/Her management will depend heavily on their expertise in the areas of modern software development methodologies to achieve rapid application development, reuse, low cost development and test and ease of deployment and maintenance. *Technical Requirements:* - *At least 5 years of C++ programming experience in designing and developing server applications (THIS POSITION WILL FOCUS ON THE C/++ PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE) * - *At least 2 years of Java programming experience in designing and developing applications (NICE TO HAVE JAVA EXPERIENCE, BUT NOT MANDATORY FOR THIS POSITION) * - *At least 5 years of HTML/JSP, Java Script, DOJO, CSS, Unix, AJAX, SOAP, Struts * - *Solid experience on JSP/Servlets* ** - Solid experience working with Design Patterns, UML, OOA/D and performance tuning of high-traffic and critical Web Applications. ** - Solid experience designing and developing Web and eCommerce applications. Implementing front-end GUI and backend server applications. ** - Strong understanding of web application security standards, authentication and authorization concepts. ** - Extensive expertise to troubleshoot/deep dive analysis on web applications ** - In-Depth experience working on service oriented architecture ** - Front-end design and implementation methodologies ** - Strong skills in OOA/OOD/UML with uses cases and software development process methodologies ** - Strong software engineering skills and SDLC ** - Excellent debugging skills ** - Quick learner with minimal supervision with the ability to multi-task * * - Solid understanding testing methods - Detail unit testing and integration testing ** - Good communicator and team player ** - Clearcase, Lotus Notes Mail and CMM ** *Soft Skills:* * * - Should be a self-learner and self-motivated to pick up technology independently with minimal guidance - *Excellent communicator through email, conference calls and through presentations* - Initiative to solve problems in a timely manner - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Must demonstrate software development in an onshore-offshore work model. - Ability to go above the beyond the call of duty to deliver the project when constraints are maximized.
