*Mid Tier Application Infrastructure Technology Specialist in Oracle Health
Science Applications*



*Responsibilities:*

provide technology Oracle Application Server (OAS) consultation for   Oracle
Clinical/Oracle Onsite/Thesaurus Management System (OC/RDC/TMS)
implementation, including new initiatives and solutions, and business as
usual (BAU) work.



*New Initiatives and Solutions*

Work closely with   Application Architect and Application Engineer in
Solutions Delivery group in implementing long term OC/RDC/TMS reliability.

The work streams in this area may include upgrading infrastructure/platform
that hosts the application, improving Oracle product quality (MT technology
and capacity), and data warehouse solution in stabilizing the transactional
system.



*BAU*

*Continuous Improvement Projects:*

Work closely with Technical Manage in improving system availability and
performance.

Work streams in this area may include system monitoring, performance/load
testing, system simplification, capacity enhancement, and any identified
work effort in raising OC/RDC/TMS uptime and performance.

Provide insight on MT/OAS strength and weakness, their implications on IT
maintenance and business use, and recommend remediation/improvement.



*Ongoing BAU Work:*

Work closely with the Technical Manager in coordinating all technical work,
new or BAU, to ensure their synergy and benefits. Foresee risks and provide
mitigations.

Technical planning and preparation of MT environment required by each work
stream and BAU version upgrades.

Liaison to IT infrastructure groups, Network, Security, Unix, Storage,
Windows and Citrix, on maintaining production infrastructure; Engage the
groups in resolving production issues

Accountable for trouble shooting over 10 production MT servers installed
with different OAS versions across RDC html, RDC PDF, and OC base product,
including Citrix servers.

Production support lead in analyzing system alerts, work with red team, and
communicating status to IT and business upper management per OC/RDC
escalation process.

Technical contact to business unit in presenting technical solutions related
to user access, load and session management, and addressing
questions/concerns.

Technical communication to Oracle in explaining MT issues, understanding
Oracle’s solutions, and their impact or benefit to  .

Answer audit questions particularly on system security measures, user
authentication and authorization, data transmission and encryption.



*Qualifications*



*Technical skills:*

Solid knowledge of OC/RDC/TMS applications and functions.

Strong work experience with Oracle Forms server, Oracle 6i/9iDS/10g Report
Server, 9iAS/10g Oracle Application Server, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle OEM,
Oracle Wallet for secure Forms Server.

At least 7 years of OC/RDC/TMS production experience in a global
installation similar to   on MT OAS installation, configuration and trouble
shooting.

Hands on experience at least from OC/RDC 4.0 up to current version 4.5.3;
Deep understanding of complexity of OAS versions/components that support RDC
html, RDC PDF, and OC base product.

Expert on   OC/RDC/TMS application access from internal and external users,
investigators, study monitors, FSP’s and CRO’s.

specific experience in Oracle Clinical replication, instances consolidation,
acquisition integration and divestiture, and data archival.

Solid knowledge/experience on network topology, Citrix and FTP server.



*Soft skills:*

Superb analytical skills in developing thought process, fact/data seeking,
hands-on research, and making knowledgeable decisions in the normal as well
as urgent/critical situations.

Dedicated and committed with a track record of business deliveries.

Excellent communication skills in articulating technical content to both
technical and non technical audiences.

Independent and self driven with little supervision and guidance in assuming
the responsibilities.

Demonstrated team leadership skills.
