Job Title: Project Manager

Client currently seeks a Project Manager to join our team in Albany,
NY.
In-person interview required after initial phone screen.
Qualified candidates must have:
* Minimum 8 years experience in overseeing medium scaled projects
(those with a budget over $500,000); Information Technology (IT)
projects comprised of sub-projects and distinct deliverables;
typically coordinates and delegates the assignments for the project
staff numbering over 10; serves as focal point of contact for Customer
regarding project status, meetings, reporting requirements; manages
scope changes/extensions, and financial, administrative, and technical
issues and concerns raised by consultant staff Customer/Program Area.
* Minimum 8 years experience managing projects following a formal
Project Management Methodology (PMM). Experience with NYS Project
Management Guidebook is required. PMP certification is required.
* Minimum 8 years experience managing Application System
Development projects which use a formal System Development Life Cycle
with specific tasks and distinct deliverables.
* Minimum 8 year experience using Microsoft Project. Formal
Training in MS Project is required.
* Minimum 8 years experience working in a team-oriented,
collaborative environment. Ability to analyze complex problems or
systems, interpret operational needs, develop integrated solutions
within a team environment.
OPTIONAL: (nice to have/highly preferred skills)
* More than eight years experience in overseeing medium to large
scaled Information Technology (IT) projects (those with a budget over
$500,000) comprised of sub-projects and distinct deliverables;
coordinates and delegates the assignments for the project staff
numbering over 12; serves as focal point of contact for customer
regarding project status, meetings, and reporting requirements;
manages scope changes, and financial, administrative, and technical
issues and concerns raised by customer.
* More than three years experience managing the implementation of
a project involving Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials.
* Is certified as a PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 Financial Management,
General Ledger Consultant Certified Expert.
Desirable Skills
1. More than eight years experience in overseeing medium to large
scaled Information Technology (IT) projects (those with a budget over
$500,000) comprised of sub-projects and distinct deliverables;
coordinates and delegates the assignments for the project staff
numbering over 20; serves as focal point of contact for customer
regarding project status, meetings, and reporting requirements;
manages scope changes, and financial, administrative, and technical
issues and concerns raised by customer. (1 point for each additional
year, up to a maximum of 3 points)
2. More that three years experience managing the implementation of a
project involving Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials. (1 point
for each additional year, up to a maximum of 3 points)
3. Is certified as a PeopleSoft Enterprise 9 Financial Management,
General Ledger Consultant Certified Expert. (3 points)
4. Holds a bachelor’s degree or higher. (1 point)
