Client currently seeks a .Net Programmer/Analyst to join our team in Long Island City, NY. F2F Required (No telephonic rounds) Include 2 references in the resume (Mandatory)- full name, title, company, phone or official mail id Work hours: 35 hours/week JOB DESCRIPTION: We seek an experienced .Net Programmer/Analyst with a minimum of two (2) years of experience to work in a fast paced development environment. The Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for developing new applications as well as enhancing and maintaining existing applications. The tasks include analysis, design, development, integration, configuration, implementation, support and documentation of applications. Position Functions or Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for full software lifecycle development including working with the users/business analysts to establish requirements for the project. The successful candidate will also be required to support applications written in ASP, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, and Access. This person should be capable of working both independently and in a team environment, excel at meeting deadlines, and have superior communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Preferred Qualifications/Skills / Experience: • Experience with the .Net Compact Framework (mobile computing), SharePoint Server 2007, DevPartner Studio, and Infragistics Net Advantage for .Net • Experience with ArcGIS Framework - Arc Objects, GeoDatabases, Python, and JavaScript/Silverlight APIs • Knowledge of AGILE software development methodologies Required Qualifications: Qualifications: .NET Framework Minimum Years Required: 2 Qualifications: ASP.NET Minimum Years Required: 2 Qualifications: VB.NET Minimum Years Required: 2 Other Required Qualifications/Experience: Qualification: • College graduate with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science Minimum Years Required: 6 Qualification: • Two or more years of hands-on experience with .NET Frameworks (1.X, 2.0 and 3.5) using Visual Studio.NET (2005, 2008, and 2010), ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C#, SQL Server 2005/2008, SQL Reporting Services, and Crystal Reports. Minimum Years Required: 2 Qualification: • Two or more years of hands-on experience with Visual Basic 6 Macros and Reports using Microsoft Access (2003, 2007) and converting Microsoft Access applications to .Net. Minimum Years Required: 2 Qualification: • One or more years full software development life cycle experience in a large public sector organization. Minimum Years Required: 1 Qualification: • Practical experience modeling systems in UML using Microsoft Visio. Minimum Years Required: 2 Qualification: The applicant must also have experience in web development for large applications. The applications must be similar in size and scope to the types of web development designed by a large government entity such as the New York City Department of Education.
