Position : Lead Java Application Engineer Duration : 1 Year Location : Portland, OR *Job description:* - Experience working as a Lead on multiple projects, in both large (1-year+ projects) and small projects ( >3 months), preferably in an Integration space · Diverse and deep experience utilizing Java tools in business, Web, and client-server environments including Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Enterprise Java Bean (EJB), JavaServer Pages (JSP), Java Servlets (including JNDI), Struts, JFC/Swing, AJAX and Java database Connectivity (JDBC) technologies. · Innovative experience in delivering mobile applications using Java Micro Edition (JME), Java FX Mobile or comparable. · Fluent understanding of multiple development languages including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML, and ability to write clean, eloquent, minimal code in a load-balanced environment to achieve value added business outcomes. · Deep expertise in Object Oriented analysis and design, UML modeling, Classic design patterns and J2EE patterns. · Technically capable with maximizing build quality and simplifying the build process through use of build and integration tools (e.g. JUNIT, Ant, Maven, etc.). · Experience in integrating through Oracle Fusion, IBM Websphere or comparable EAI environments. · Experience, interest and adaptability to working in a Waterfall or Lean/Agile delivery environment. Strong preference for multiple years of SCRUM/XP development expertise. · Successful track record collaborating with product owners, product managers and business SMEs to ensure delivered solutions optimally support the achievement of business outcomes. · Passion and successful track of coaching, teaching, mentoring and learning. · Commitment to and hands-on experience in leading/performing technical quality reviews. · Commitment to collaborate with other developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. - Experience estimating work, planning, organization and implementing complex Java software projects - 3 years' experience developing object-oriented, web-based consumer applications in a Java/J2EE 3-tier environment.
