Sr. WebSphere Engineer Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 6-months Description: This candidate will be a member of Platform Hosting Systems (PHS) WebSphere shared service team and will be responsible for managing WAS shared service activities that includes building automation framework for delivering WebSphere clusters, maintaining existing WAS shared service infrastructure, building infrastructure for open source Web/App servers like tcServer on VMware platform. The candidate will also assist with testing and documenting processes for building new WAS /tcSever clusters. This role also requires research on WAS and tcServer updates for any new software versions, new OS releases and for any security vulnerabilities. This individual will work closely with other PHS shared services, MSPs and customers. Required Skills: Experience in installing, configuring WebSphere 6.x, 7.x Experience in creating WebSphere clustering topology. Senior technician with WebSphere administration and troubleshooting experience. Strong experience in Shell, Jython, PERL scripting Experience with open source Web/App servers like Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, tcServer Experience with spring insight Experience with tcServer – web server/app server administration/configuration/operation Experience with some UNIX administration. Strong technical documentation and presentation skills Experience with installing and configuring Weblogic 9.x and above Candidate must be a team player who works and communicates well with technical and non-technical resources. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to work with limited direction while being highly productive. A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
