Please go though the Requirement and send me appropriate resumes of your Consultants ASAP @ *prarit...@gmail.com* or contact me @ *732-645-2037* *Role: Cluster Project Manager (Rates) * * * *Deployment: Stamford, CT, / Jersey City, NJ * * * *Reporting to: Sector Program Manager * * * *Peer:** * * **Cluster Manager (in India)** * *Job Description* The Cluster Project Manager is a techno-functional leadership role, responsible for the service delivery and stakeholder management in the CTB and L3 (bug fixes, and minor enhancements) functions in a given cluster (set of complex & big applications). *Business / Domain Area (work experience in this domain is MUST). * The Rates Derivatives cluster consists of software applications, which support the capture and front-office processing of voice and electronic trades in the following asset classes within the Interest Rate Derivatives space: § Interest Rate Swaps § Cross Currency Swaps § Forward Rate Agreements § Vanilla Interest Rate Options – Caps, Collars and Floors § Interest Rate Swaptions § Exotic Interest Rate Options § Constant Maturity Treasuries § Constant Maturity Swaps § Exchange Traded Futures and Options – e.g., in Eurodollar Bonds The application landscape can be broadly divided into two suites of applications: · The first suite includes applications that connect to market data sources and feed the data into trade capture systems, which generate the pricing and capture trade information and trade economics. · The second suite of applications primarily consists of a database that is fed trade details and trade economics data by the trade capture systems. Apart from the database, this suite also incorporates interfaces and applications that perform intra-day desk risk calculations. The database connects to downstream systems for reconciliation, confirmation and settlement of trades, and for end-of-day P&L Reporting. The database also interfaces with applications that perform interest rate and FX rate resets, and those that perform regulatory reporting. *Responsibilities of the Cluster Project Manager * Basic understanding of the above domain areas from the business stakeholder interaction perspective is essential and proficiency in one or more of the above domain areas will be an added advantage. This role will be responsible and accountable for the smooth delivery of Book of Work (BOW) and end-to-end release management and provide guidance to the HCL team during issues and failures. *Key Responsibility Area 1: Project Management * · Responsible & accountable for annual release plan, ongoing changes and book of work (BOW). · Responsible for work prioritization in consultation with business & IT partners, work allocation, and report the status of work progress to key stakeholders. · Responsible & accountable for specific releases – from requirements management to production deployment & post-production warranty. · Demand Management in the CTB & L3 Portfolios *Key Responsibility Area 2: Stakeholder Management * · Responsible & accountable for stakeholder management – Customer’s business partners, IT Managers in CTB& RTB and Senior Executives. · Seek regular feedback from business users on likely business volume changes; and application development teams on capacity for any regulatory, compliance or enhancements *Key Responsibility Area 3: Governance & Risk Management * · Responsible & accountable for Project plans, Resource plans, Governance and Risk Management. · Responsible & accountable (represent HCL) for period review meetings (Weekly & Monthly) with Customer key stakeholders. · Responsible for compliance with UBS policies, practices and regulations. · Responsible for representing the Cluster in relevant committees and forums · Responsible for ensuring compliance with IT Security and other standards and best practices · Responsible for maintaining data, facts and figures pertaining to the L3/CTB team's activities for the applications under HCL span of control, in order to support various audit requirements *Key Responsibility Area 4: Resource / Tem Management * · Responsible & accountable for the roles and responsibilities of onsite L3 and CTB teams, which report to this role. · Leads HCL team's interaction with business stakeholders for finalizing requirements and BOW · Works with HCL Offshore Cluster Manager in allocating tasks and providing guidance to offshore delivery team · Guides and directs Business Analyst(s) and Technical Architect(s) in requirements, impact and feasibility analysis · Sensitize the service delivery teams about business impact of technical incidents or service requests (for L3 Service Line) · Leads the team in addressing stakeholder queries and offering quick resolution of issues that are reported to the L3 desk. *Others Responsibilities * · Driving service performance by being proactive in monitoring and ensuring end user satisfaction, service delivery through domain initiatives · Actively pursue service improvements and efficiencies that benefit the end user community without additional cost to Customer except where supported by business and IT budgets · Ensuring correct levels of communications are achieved at all times with end users, their team and line managers as well as the global program team including HCL management both locally and globally *Candidate Profile * The ideal candidate should have at least 15-20 years of experience in project / program management with at least 5 years of that in a technology / project leadership and business stakeholder management role - in an Investment Banking or similarly challenging environment, preferably handling front office technology. *Specific Competencies * 1. Out of 12 to 15 years, in the last 5 years, the candidate should have: a. Worked in an Investment Banking or Trading, or similar high-pressure & complex environments playing a similar role (this is MUST. Others please do not apply / pursue) b. Extensively performed client-interfacing roles ranging from operational (e.g., helping with system issues) to tactical (scoping and planning for releases) c. Project / Program Management Skills – scope, time, resource, integration, risk, communication, stakeholders, and quality management d. Led a team of Business Analyst(s), Architects(s) and Programmers, Testers to provide solutions, engage meaningfully with business stakeholders to discuss and prioritize change, and deliver large and complex books of work. Total team size will be around: 35 – 40. e. Worked with a geographically distributed cross-cultural teams and stakeholders. f. Should have been in an active hands-on Development role earlier in his/her career and should have basic understanding of technology, systems and software testing. 2. MUST haveexcellent communication, strategizing and stakeholder management skills 3. Should have knowledge and experience of best practices in software delivery, particularly in the Agile methodology 4. Other requirements (nice to have) · Willing to travel to London, UK once in a quarter (only on need basis) · Travel to India to understand offshore ways of working (optional) · Flexible working hours (as and when required) · Willing to learn domain / business topics 5.
