The client would like these candidates to relocate to Atlanta, GA or
Milwaukee, WI.  This is a long term project and they want the candidates to
live in the area of the other team members.  The project would still be
doing this work in DC but after the project was over would then travel to
other parts of the country and still be based out of Atlanta or Milwaukee.
 I need to know ASAP.









Position Summary

The Application Developer’s primary responsibility is for presentation-tier
and middle-tier development tasks. The Application Developer works closely
with other members of the software development team to deliver high quality
web-based sales support solutions for the health insurance industry.

Qualified candidates must possess strong problem solving and communication
skills in addition to having a customer-focused mindset and an
understanding of the importance of accountability, attention to detail, and
team work.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing all advanced aspects of presentation-tier and
middle-tier web applications using Java and J2EE in the WebWork framework

• Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or
development of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and
Web/Internet services

• May involve coding and integration of text, graphics, sound, and/or video

Job Requirements

• 4 yr degree (BS in CS, CIS,MIS, Mathematics, Engineering or other hard
science. Masters Degree preferred)

• 4 – 5 years of experience developing software applications and/or web
pages using the Java language

• Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written
and verbal

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly
communicate and share solutions with fellow team members

• Effective listening and problem solving skills

• Team player

Skills / Experience:

• Proficient in analyzing software requirements and documenting technical
specifications for a web-based solution

• Experience with the full software development life cycle, with emphasis
on technical design and documentation activities

• Experience within the past year in a software organization with work
cycles and product complexities in an enterprise software solution

• Effective listening and problem solving skills

• Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written
and verbal

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly
communicate and share solutions with fellow team members

• Ability to travel for one to several consecutive day(s) (minimal) when
needed (< 25% domestic travel to any of the US states)

• Experience with Webwork, Spring, Struts and/or Hibernate preferred

• BEA WebLogic and/or IBM WebSphere experience preferred
