Front end skills, Jboss, CMS are a priority for this position. Creation of functional and technical specifications for business requirements; development of software components, test plans and documentation in accordance with the designs and agreed Disney standards. Development of prototype software to assist with the design phase of software projects. Will also identify and investigate issues, identify root causes, and complete assigned issues within an agreed-upon timeframe. Candidates will become members of the technical team in collaboration with business partners to learn and understand affiliate business needs and preferences for all aspects of their business. He or she will interpret their information and translate learning into solid design concepts and technical solutions. Technical teams are expected to understand the business in order to provide the most impactful technical assistance possible. Candidates will need to quickly comprehend complex information as part of a business opportunity then conceive and develop technical solutions for new initiatives and or existing system workflows. These systems are broad in their scope of application and often touch mission critical processes such as our on air signal or revenue allocations. It is imperative that the candidate be able to clearly articulate technical findings and recommendations, issues, outcomes, and progress as part of an effective communication path for all levels of the team organization. Candidate will be working on back end environment development and front end web site development. - Minimum 5 years' experience working with HTML and CSS, HTML5 - Minimum 5 years' experience with Javascript, jQuery - Minimum 8-10 years' experience J2EE, with Spring MVC Framework - Expert knowledge of CMS tools. Morello expertise a plus. - Expert knowledge of JPA (Hibernate) - Expert in Jboss configuration environments - Experience optimizing software processes for speed and/or memory efficiency - Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a software development team - Must comply with organization procedures and coding standards Please use the screening questions below to qualify candidates: 1. What is the difference between an interface and abstract class? 2. What does the final keyword do when placed on a method? 3. Write a "hello world" example in Java. * Please have them describe their Maven fundamentals: lifecycles, phases, pom structure and development (inheritence, dependencies, plugins) and Maven plugin development (Java programming) Have they actually built new entity beans from scratch? If so, how many Entity Beans? Are they experienced with the different types of entity relationships? (expecting someone who has built a full object model). * EJB 3.0/Business Tier - How many Session Beans (or equivalent of session beans)? (expecting someone who has built many- 30+). Or how much time has been spent in the past year on these technologies? * GUI Development - How many Ajax application interfaces/screens have been developed, using which Ajax library/frameworks (i.e. Dojo, Prototype, RichFaces, IceFaces, GWT)? * Web Services - How many Services have been written? How many Services have been consumed? * For all above: How much time has been spent in the past year on these technologies? * Work with DataGrid (InfiniSpan, Gigaspaces, coherence, Akiban, etc.) technologies is a big plus! * Must have excellent communication capabilities within the team. They are going to have to move our current sites from one server to another, upgrade our sites to Jboss6, and then blow them up and build a new framework and front end.
