LEAD PL / SQL DEVELOPER Contract : 6+ monthsLocation: Allentown/Philly/NYC .* *General Description:* Our client looking for a candiadate to fill the role of our Oracle subject matter expert. This person will be relied upon to set the vision for our database architecture. Our developers will look to this person for definition of development and performance best pratices. This candidate's short term role would be focus on increasing the performance of our applications. Their long term role would be to help our systems support the growth of our company. *Duties, Activities, Responsibilities and Competencies:* Perform PL / SQL development for medium to large projects for applications that support our client's business, primarily supporting preparation of our systems for account growth. This includes both batch and online systems. Perfom analysis of the performance of nightly batch and other systems and submit report and recommendations to management. Must possess and utilize PL / SQL expertise, DBA skills in order to properly develop and modify internal applications. Work with other developer to design efficient solutions. Perform PL / SQL and SQL Development. Provide guiance and suggest resolutions to production support team. 4 year college degree in technical field plus relevant work experience or at least 10 years of relevant experience required. Must be self-motivated, customer focused and a team player and have proven problem solving skills along with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must have technically lead projects in the past. Must have an understanding of schema design and maintenance. Must be an excellent communicator and be able to convey recom recommendation to supervisors and leadership. Must have a Green Card or be a US citizen *Technical Qualifications:* Strong Oracle Skills Versions: 8i , 9i, 10g, 11g. Strong UNIX and Linux Skills a) HP-UX and RHLE. b) Shell and Scripting with Korn, Shell and Bash. At least 10 years of SQL and PL / SQL experience.
