We require a proactive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to leverage their DB2 database development expertise on a multi-year renovation project to build a new settlements system. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record including previous DB2 distributed database development experience throughout the complete project life cycle. They should have a history that clearly indicates their skills at delivering tasks within time and budget constraints. A belief in integrity, personal ownership and accountability are prerequisites. The successful candidate will be required to build and maintain good working relationships with a variety of clients in many locations, as well as local and global IT teams. This role will require both interpersonal and technical skills and this is an ideal opportunity for the right person not only to enhance their technical and leadership abilities but also to increase their knowledge of the middle/back office processing of a global financial institution. An ability to work through others, negotiate with clients, influence and provide technical direction at all levels is essential. The New York Settlements team is part of the larger global Settlements team and supports Settlement activities throughout the globe for many business areas including Prime Brokerage, Stock Loan, PWM, Equity, FID and Derivatives with many external communication links.
