Title: Infrastructure Security consultant posted on 2014-05-29 14:18:26 Job Description:*Role: Infrastructure Security * *Location: Houston, TX* *Duration: 6 months+* The Infrastructure Security Solutions Architect (SSA) will provide advance consulting services on a broad range of security topics within the Infrastructure services and technologies space. In this role, the Infrastructure SSA will provide architecture designs, solution reviews, engineering guidelines and technology roadmaps for a variety of information security projects to include the following: • Responsible for assisting the client define security solutions architecture and security technology vision and platform roadmaps. • Responsible for ensuring technical solutions align with the enterprise architecture principles, methods, standards and documentation requirements. • Provide objective appraisals of technology and develops pattern based re-usable architecture artifacts including documenting key architecture decisions Knowledge: Success will require a variety of knowledge that will enable the immediate ability to perform client tasks as needed. Knowledge in at least 75% of the Expert/Advanced areas listed below will be required. • Expert knowledge and experience with enterprise infrastructure security solutions from the architecture, engineering, operations and administration perspectives. • Expert knowledge and experience in the areas of risk assessment, mitigation and avoidance in the infrastructure areas of compute, storage, SAN and supporting networking technologies and services. • Expert knowledge and experience in the areas of compute, storage, traditional and converged supporting networks and cloud-based infrastructure platforms. • Advanced knowledge of Cisco TrustSec and Cisco Datacenter Infrastructure topics. • Advanced knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols, LAN switching and routing to enable infrastructure solutions design and development. Skills: Success will require a variety of skills that will enable the immediate ability to perform client tasks as needed. Skills in at least 75% of the following areas will be required. • Perform risk analysis and develop risk mitigation strategies for infrastructure systems and services. • Perform analysis and development of security solutions to support both physical and virtualized datacenter platforms to from the architecture, engineering, operations and administration perspectives. • Review and develop standards and guidelines for infrastructure security systems and services with preference toward Cisco ASA/vASA, vCSG, McAfee and CyberArk solutions. • Review and develop standards and guidelines for datacenter rack, storage and converged networking platforms, with strong preference toward Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and VSA/VSM/1000V solutions. Experience: Success will require in-depth experience to enable the immediate ability to perform client tasks as needed. Meeting at least 75% of the following experience areas will be required. • At least 10-years of in-depth technical experience working in the Infrastructure areas of compute, storage, storage & datacenter networking. • At least 5-years of in-depth experience designing, implementing, operating and administering infrastructure security solutions for large enterprises. • At least 2-years of recent and relevant experience architecting, designing and implementing infrastructure security solutions for physical datacenters. • At least 2-years of recent and relevant experience architecting, designing and implementing security solutions in a virtualized/converged datacenter environment to deliver private and hybrid cloud infrastructure services.
