Role : Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst

Client is seeking local candidates
This is long term.. 6 months initial with extensions
NOTE: WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A REPORTS DEVELOPER.
The Performance Management Analyst role is geared heavily toward data
analytics,
not technical report development. This individual will provide commentary
and analytics that is presented (by other team members) to Business Partners
and CIO leadership. An example would be providing operational revenue analysis
for Solution Delivery such as employee yield, demand capacity,
recommendations/trends,
etc. Below is the formal job description..
The Performance Management Analyst will be responsible for
o Communicating within and across various stakeholders to deliver analytical
solutions (covering design, build, test, and deploy) that meet both business,
functional, and technical requirements
o Analyzing and interpreting the end-to-end project delivery results, and
guiding
key stakeholders on how to use this data to make sound business decisions
o Improving end user adoption and empowerment of delivered analytical solutions
40% Deliver analytical solutions to support the end-to-end project delivery
service
- Participates in design, development, implementation, communication, and
training
of analytical solutions to support the end-to-end project delivery
organization.
- Acts a technical liaison between the IT development group and report
stakeholder
for the development and implementation of new analytical reporting.
- Analyzes and interprets requirements and prioritizes them ensuring alignment
with end-to-end project delivery processes
- Responsible for the execution of business analytics implementation
deliverables
- Identify risks and design controls to mitigate and/or eliminate risks
40% Publish & Govern the Global IT project delivery metrics
- Analyzes and interprets the end-to-end project delivery data and guides key
stakeholders on how to use this data to make sound business decisions,
including:
o Publishing the project delivery metrics on a monthly basis, including
analytical
commentary to support the results
o Providing the analytical commentary leveraged by the Global IT business
partner
operational reviews
- Applies current understanding of analytics and metrics to determine best
practices to drive new metrics that will operationally support the delivery
organization, as well as highlight growth opportunities
- Aligns and onboard embedded IT organizations to leverage the defined Global
IT project delivery metrics and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Ensures compliance with the performance metric governance processes
10% Identify and Lead project delivery performance management adoption
- Builds and maintains relationships with reporting stakeholders across the
global organization to identify opportunities to provide business value through
analytical solutions
- Advance performance management/project delivery Communities of Practice
- Deliver and support training of report users as needed
- Assesses report utilization to determine effectiveness of available reports
5% Leadership
- Provides coaching and/or training to more junior members of the team.
5% Other duties required
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar field
* 7+ years relevant business experience including 3+ years performing
analytical
activities.
* Analytical, creative and business-focused problem solver
* Strong detail, documentation and analytical orientation
* Results-oriented, self-starter
* Strong collaboration and influencing skills
* Work experiences across multiple lines of businesses, as well as multiple
geographies
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate
discussions and drive to conclusion within a global team.
* General knowledge and experience in portfolio management and project delivery
process methodologies, other associated methodologies, techniques and tools.
* Comfortable dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA, Masters of Information Technology or Computer Engineering
* Experience with the SAP Business Objects 4.0 business intelligence toolset
* Experience with the Microsoft Project Server 2010 or 2013
