Title: Business/Data Analyst (3933807) posted on 2014-07-02 19:05:35 Job Description: Key requirements are analytical skills, a passion for “connecting the dots” between business processes and data, and the ability to create clear documentation and visual representations of complex data relationships by interfacing extensively with customers. Major bonus: familiarity with BMC Remedy and/or HP Service Manager (HPSM). Our client is moving from its current IT service management application gRemedy, and its knowledge management application Primus to global standard HP Service Manager. The Business/Data Analyst will play a key role in mapping current gRemedy / Primus data into HPSM’s data structure: - CMDB (Configuration Management Database) records on infrastructure, software, etc - Categorizations for incident, request and change tickets - Workgroups & memberships - Reports – inventory current reports, reference against “canned reports” in HPSM, determine path to replace or retire reports - Interfaces Specifically, the Business/Data Analyst will: - Have ability to quickly understand the gRemedy data structure and the HPSM data structure, and the underlying business processes - Meet extensively with internal customers at client site to gather data - Define HPSM Application or Interval Services (APS or ITS) based on active gRemedy incident ticket categories - Define HPSM Shared Assignment Workgroups (SAGs) and associate them to the related Application or Internal Service - Define HPSM change management workflows for services that currently use change management in gRemedy - Define HPSM service catalog items for services that have high volume end user facing service requests - Develop source-to-target mapping documents by analyzing data content in gRemedy, Primus, and associated interfaces and HPSM. Develop mappings to enable data migration, application integration, and/or SOA environment. - Suggest and clearly document approaches for data cleanup - Support application go-live with a focus on data readiness during integration/migration and post production period Job Requirements: *SKILLS: * - 5 or more years of strong analytical and problem solving skills, data analysis and modeling - Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Visio - Effective communication and writing skills - Familiarity with ITIL terminology and definitions - Ability to rapidly understand business requirements, communicate business expectations to cross-functional development teams, and document findings clearly - Ability to extract information from busy individuals using clear questions and demonstrate strong understanding of purpose and HPSM and gRemedy system structure and setup - Skills to gather and document requirements using process flows, use cases, interviews, workshops, and investigation of current state (existing systems and/or processes) - Ability to assemble, analyze and evaluate data and make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to the Business stakeholders - Past project experience with system migrations - Experience with Remedy, HPSM, and Business Objects highly desired - Experience with data quality assessment, cleansing, and improvement efforts - Biotech or pharma industry experience highly desired *EDUCATION: * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience *PLEASE NOTE: Contract may be eligible to be extended by 18 months *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://ejobsville.com/display-job/200716> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
