Includes functions in support of end user needs. Configuration Management Includes functions related to controlling software evolution and managing software configurations across the enterprise. Includes such functions as software build controls, change management, software version control, and IT infrastructure management and control. Release Management Includes management of centralized release and retrieval of software to the enterprise, including version control, production and software feature freezes, and environment stabilization. Also includes determination of release candidates, management of release dates and maintenance of bug fix status.
