Title: IT Buisness Analyst (SAP) - Client: NRG Retail IT - Location: CLUTCH CITY, Texas posted on 2014-07-17 12:55:24 Job Description:Job Title: IT Analyst Client: NRG Retail IT Department: Information Technology - CCS Reports to: IT Manager Location: CLUTCH CITY, Texas Summary: The IT Analyst is responsible for the analysis of processes and procedures associated with the PJM Northeast electricity and gas markets. In addition, the IT Analyst must determine the effectiveness of business processes, conduct analysis, make recommendations, and coordinate implementation for system and process improvements resulting in timely and effective transition into an SAP CCS system. In this role the IT Analyst must possess skills and knowledge of PJM market transactions and exception handling to effectively assist in the design and conversion of retail customers into the SAP system. This role must also work across multiple functional groups including but not limited to Customer Care, Information Technology, Back Office Operations (including invoicing, service initiation, remittance processing), Consumer Operations, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory Responsibilities: Identify and document technical system and process requirements for transitioning Northeast retail customers into SAP. Answer questions from the development team on the difference between EDI transactions processes of the various PJM EDCs. Provide analytical and technical support to SAP teams for analysis of internal business processes and system capabilities into SAP. Gain cross functional support and approval for system and process changes from key stakeholders to affect timely and complete implementation. Develop and document requirements, design, testing, and training materials as required in support of project(s). Prepare spreadsheets, graphics, and word documents as required for reporting, analysis, documentation, and presentations. Maintain close and ongoing relationships with internal customer facing groups as well as Back Office to affect timely response to customer issues. Design, develop, maintain and enhance SAP CCS application programs working within a team-oriented environment. Provide functional specifications to the ABAP personnel for customized modifications that cannot be delivered through CCS configuration. Configure and test CCS modifications to support new system development, enhancements, and production support modifications. Test ABAP program changes. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or other relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience: A good understanding of Northeast electricity market processes. Candidate must be well versed in software development lifecycle and popular development methodologies. Energy industry knowledge is preferred. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Proficient in MS Office, Visio, Project and use of the Internet. Ability to prepare and conduct presentations in a professional manner. Must be process-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and be quality-focused. This individual will be required to identify logical, rational approaches to business solutions. SAP configuration experience and testing experience. Experience working with end users, taking their business problems and translating them into system requirements. Lead and coordinate a small, well-defined portion of a project or work process. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment; must be able to assess and be responsive to the views, attitudes, and values of others. Configuration, testing, maintenance, enhancements, and/or support activities. Evaluate user change requests and obtain approval to make modifications. Lead and coordinate project planning sessions with team members to analyze business and technical requirements. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage conflict. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with technical and non-technical staff and to communicate effectively to a wide range audience. Valid Texas drivers license. Working Conditions: Fast-paced office environment. Major activities performed on PC and client/server applications. Requirements for telephone consultation and support with clients.
