Job Description : The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Developer Analyst, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general qualifications of ITSAC Developer Analyst 2 Category, Emerging Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas client Information Technology (IT). All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Client. Client may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. Client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s). ResponsibilitiesThis position is to perform PeopleSoft/Oracle technical report development services specifically query and report development, performance tuning and object migration. Successful applicant services are needed immediately for HHSAS Production Report Development and the upcoming HHSAS Financials Hardware Refresh project where the staff will be involved in following items: PeopleSoft Reporting instances, GoldenGate Software, Oracle Database Upgrade, Windows Server Upgrade, PeopleTools upgrade, and Stat migration tool upgrade. Services could include involvement during routine maintenance windows, which usually involve weekends and evenings. A. Create and maintain PeopleSoft reports using PeopleTools. B. Create and maintain complex SQR code C. Tune and Debug complex SQR's and SQL's D. Work with migration team and manage agency expectation on reporting object migration E. Diagnose and resolve production and non-production reporting problems related to PeopleSoft Financials 8.8 F. Perform rotating on-call duties related to reporting support (24 x 7). G. Communicate effectively and correctly in writing and verbally on a variety of business matters. H. Perform related reporting work as assigned. I. Must follow agency standards and guidelines. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Years Skills/Experience 7 Experience with PeopleSoft Developer in an 8.8 or higher version of PeopleSoft Financials. 7 Experience with PeopleSoft Query, Crystal, nVision and SQR 6 Ability to interact and communicate well with functional team leads and agency personnel 6 Ability to write complex SQL and PS/SQL 6 Knowledge of software development methodologies, design and implementations 6 Ability work with development /migration tools Preferences: Years Skills/Experience 7 Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to collaborate effectively on diverse teams (e.g., portfolio/project managers, domain experts, users, and software engineering team) to design and deploy business information systems across the enterprise. 7 Understanding of computer related tools, methods, platforms and operating systems. 7 Good teamwork skills, ability to collaborate with other technical staff on the project. 4 Demonstrated experience with AIX and Linux environments 3 A proven ability to work effectively across multiple groups and functional areas (including working w/subject-matter-experts, leveraging resources), where security processes are concerned. 3 A proven ability to work effectively across multiple groups and functional areas (including working w/subject-matter-experts, leveraging resources), where security processes are concerned. 7 Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to collaborate effectively on diverse teams (e.g., portfolio/project managers, domain experts, users, and software engineering team) to design and deploy business information systems across the enterprise. III. TERM OF SERVICE Services expect to start mid-August 2014 and are expected to be completed by mid-December, 2014. Total estimated Worker hours shall not exceed 750 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing. IV. WORK LOCATION A. The primary work location(s) will be at the William B Travis Building, 1702 N. Congress Ave., Austin, Texas, 78701.
