Requirement – Sr. Network Engineer Rate : $5000 - $5500/month *Sr. Network Engineer * Responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure. Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and network configuration. Responsible for project planning and designing scalable network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements for a reliable network. This includes detailing current and future requirements, planning analysis, project design, cost and personnel resource estimation for project implementation. Ensure network performance and availability meet enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning. Follow network architecture guidance, which incorporates standards, practices, processes, and products for the enterprise. Be accountable for network designs and implementations deployed, as well as those by the rest of the team. Provide assistance and mentoring for peers and junior team members.Works with minimal level of guidance/direction on projects with moderate to high risk having enterprise-level impact. Proactively identifies and solves a range of problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures. *Responsibilities* · Technical Excellence o Keep abreast of industry and technology trends, available products and services. o Evaluate and recommend specific products and platforms to provide cost effective solutions that meet architectural requirements. o Perform capacity planning and application analysis for network performance and sizing. o Provide comprehensive network designs (cost estimates, product recommendations, configurations, and implementation plans) for capital and operating projects. o Work on multiple technical projects, as assigned. o Create and maintain technical drawings and support documentation of the enterprise network infrastructure. o Identify ongoing improvements to the enterprise network o Work with project teams for various data center, airport, campus, or other network related projects o Works independently or leads others on projects with moderate risk that has function-level impact. o Makes decisions within broad guidelines that impact a variety of non-standard customer, operational, project or service decisions and strategies. · Personnel Development o Coach and provide guidance to network technical and support staff as appropriate, as part of team-based activities. o Responsible for leading and coordinating the designing, testing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure for multiple projects/teams of high priority and complexity. o Leads teams and provides consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and network configuration. o Is the lead responsible for project planning and designing of a scalable network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements for a reliable network. o Explains difficult concepts and influences others to adopt a particular course of action. · Operational Support o Assist with support for day to day network operations by assessing network operational impact and recommending/performing corrective action. o Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise. o Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from any network service interruption, and to prevent recurring problems. o Monitor, manage, and tune networks to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved. o Be reachable and provide on site and on call 7x24x365 support, as needed. *Education* · BS/BA, preferably in Information Technology or Business or equivalent experience, education, or training required · Master's degree, preferably in Information Technology/Systems, Engineering, Business preferred *Certification* · CCNA/CCNP or CCIE technical certifications or other comparable certifications preferred *Knowledge/Skills* · Understands LAN, WAN, switching, routing multimedia and other supporting technologies required · Able to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably at the right level required · Developing and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide, defines success in terms of the entire team through mentoring and knowledge transfer required · Demonstrates a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in current technical/functional area, keeping up to date on technical developments, staying informed as to industry practices, knowing how to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs required *Experience* · 6 years applicable experience in one or more of the following network related areas: design, analysis, capacity, wireless, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and voice platforms required · A senior or lead engineer role, designing, implementing and supporting data networks for an airline or comparable, major transportation company preferred *Other* · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. · Regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with United's policies is required · Attendance is required at work location. *(Please note, this may not be applicable to positions where in fact someone can telecommute.
