Job Description: Job Title: Technical Analyst - Cognos Developer & Data Management Location: Midtown NYC Duration: 6+ Months Interview : F2F after phone Primary Purpose: The IS Business Operations mission is to provide value to the Information Services teams through education, standards, processes and tools. The Cognos Developer will be responsible for delivering reports that communicate information to key stakeholders. Ideal candidate will be developing technical report requirements from high level business requirements, developing test cases that are used for validation, developing reports and manage requirement changes and defects. Additional responsibilities might include management of project and user data in Daptiv PPM. Key Responsibilities: • Develop Cognos reports in Daptiv PPM environment • Develop technical requirements and test scenarios for reports • Data Management activities Experience: • BS in Computer Science or related degree • 5 or more years database report development • Expert Cognos Report Studio developer (Cognos 10) • Expert at RDBMS concepts (raw SQL knowledge is preferred) • Theory and hands knowledge of SDLC concepts • Development and documentation of technical requirements • Development and execution of test cases • Preferred knowledge of web development (HTML, JavaScript and CSS) • Preferred familiarity with Daptiv PPM • Preferred familiarity with Rational Quality Assurance suite Soft Skills: • Good communications (verbal and written) and process-oriented • Good planning and time management Characteristics: • Quick learner and self-starter initiating research/learning process • Strong interest in technology and design concepts Thanks.
