*Position = SQL DBALocation = Lexington, KYDuration = 6 -12 months* A database administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database(s). They will also be involved in the planning and development of the database(s) as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users. *Minimum Job Qualifications* At least four+ years of college Education, Microsoft SQL Certification desired but not essential At least *5+ years* in all flavors of *SQL. (SQL 2000- SQL 2012).* This also occasionally involves interaction with users. Working *knowledge of Windows 2003-2012, IIS, VMWare* is a plus. Thorough knowledge of database administration which includes but not limited to Backups, Restores, Performance Tuning, Trouble Shooting and rolling out new servers and keeping service pack levels of all servers consistent across the board. The candidate should also have skills to manage his own projects. Thorough command of the industry language and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical users. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, use initiative and judgment to accomplish results, participate as a team leader or member of a team, work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate, timely and professional manner.
