I am seeking a DB2 DBA with data modeling and financial services experience. Responsible for managing and designing the databases used by the Data Warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be a senior application DBA who is an expert in Data Modeling and architecture, performance tuning, logical & physical database design, database security, storage layout & management, network connectivity, capacity management & planning. Expert knowledge of DB2, Oracle and SQL Server database platforms is required. The candidate must have broad knowledge of the financial services industry, and financial instruments. Experience with SDLC/Waterfall methodologies. Experience with Business Objects and Informatica a plus. Candidate should have an excellent understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and a general understanding of overall financial services industry. Excellent communication skills, problem solving ability, and leadership values. 8+ Years as a DB Architect with concentration on DB2 Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database platforms Experience with Data Modeling, VLDB, Partitioning. 3+ Years of experience with performance tuning Proficiency in Unix OS, scripting, Automation. Working knowledge of scheduling platforms. Understanding of SDLC and ITIL.
