Analyze Design, Develop, Test and Deploy solutions for Business Intelligence and other transactional systems. The Business Intelligence platform consists of the Data Warehouse, ETL components, Reporting components, end-user interfaces (UI), Oracle/MySQL databases, external partner systems and other system components. Has the ability to understand the business process, associate the data to the process by performing data analysis, data profiling, and data mining to transform data into information. Acts as a liaison between business analysts, project management teams and performs the design, build, testing and deploys solutions in Production environment. Application development using Oracle DB, SQL/PL/SQL programs and performs all the necessary post Production deployment support, Performance tuning and trouble shooting of all the DB related issues. Create, Design and perform Data migration from legacy systems into newly developed applications. Must be able to write Unix/Linux shell scripts for Data management and Database administration tasks as needed. Train junior members of the team and support on boarding activities from technical perspective. *Specific responsibilities include:* - Responsible for entire SDLC support as a solution architect including Requirement Analysis, Data Analysis, Design, and Development. Testing, Implementation and Post production Support. - Data Modeling, Database Logical and Physical Design. - Design, Create and maintain XML/XSD feed files for communication to Partners. - As a technical expert, responsible to provide guidance and take decisions on technical change management aspects required throughout the design and development process. · Translate business requirements into technical design specifications and prepare necessary technical design document. · Perform Data Migration activities from legacy Systems and legacy data sources into newly developed application. · Good understanding and ability to create shell scripts/ Windows batch scripts for data management and data administration tasks on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. · Manage the FTP and SFTP processes for various data transfer processes. - Conduct downstream impact analysis of change requests and design appropriate technical solutions for implementing change requests.. · Prepare appropriate technical specification documents for building ETL and back end DB code. - Prepare various test cases for testing the developed code and conduct Unit and systems testing. - Analyze and resolve various performance tuning issues in DB. Ability to restore data structures to a pre-defined stage using Oracle Flashback query option. - Liaisons between UI technical development team members related to UI development and provide necessary backend support. - Create and/or maintain appropriate technical artifacts for system documentation. - Conducts quality assurance activities to ensure data integrity. - Follow change management procedures and validation. *Essential Experience and Knowledge:* - Minimum 6-10 years of experience as a DB developer and Technical lead role on large projects involving various systems and complex processes. - Experienced in delivering solutions to business with an in-depth understanding of systems and business process. - 5- 7 years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Modeling & Conceptual Modeling, Logical modeling, Entity relationship diagrams, Business process diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, Dimensional Data Models, and Use Case Scenarios. - 3-5 years experience in Data Warehouse and ETL methodologies is preferred - Experience in data modeling – using any industry standard data modeling tool. - Must have strong Oracle DB and PL/SQL application development skills and excellent knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Views, Materialized View, Cursors and writing complex SQL queries. - Tune SQL & Database by creating/using indexes, hints, analyzing the plans, materialized views, restructuring queries. - Knowledge and familiarity about the DBA activities is a plus. - Expert level knowledge about XML technologies, XML and XSD file structures and development of XML files using industry standard tools like Altova and Informatica ETL tools. - 5 – 7 years of experience in Shell scripting and Windows batch scripts, FTP and SFTP protocols and data transfer processes. - Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent written/oral communication skills. - Has the ability to work with the team as well as individually. - Good understanding of ETL client tools must be able to understand ETL mappings using Informatica/ Oracle. - Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and projects.
