Not looking for a Business Analyst, resume must reflect deliverables and responsibilities associated with a Systems Analyst. Essential Functions: • Transform business requirements into technical specifications • Collaborate with architects and development teams to come up with high-level systems design. • Create and own system design documentation • Assist QA and development teams in defining test strategy, acceptance criteria, bug fixing and issue resolution. • Build strong working relationships and teamwork with product managers, project managers, development teams and • QA. This role requires core system analyst skills, strong platform concepts understanding, system oriented architecture and web services knowledge, complex system design capabilities, knowledge of Java language, experience in integration work, and excellent written and verbal communications skills. The successful candidate will help design and document technical details of new Platform features and enhancements to the Ecommerce platform and will regularly communicate the platform architecture direction and changes to the broader development community. The candidate will interact with Technical Leads, Architects, Platform and Application Software Engineers, as well as Management, in a highly collaborative environment. Activities range from development, documentation, mentoring and aligning with various business partners and teams to provide the best experience for platform users. Key Accountabilities • Self-motivated, highly driven, result and commitment oriented. Builds strong working relationship with Platform development community, Domain Manager, project managers, architects, and QA teams. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to meet deadlines, monitors system implementation and user satisfaction. Shows good judgment in escalating issues to management. • Leverages experience in building APIs, SDKs, SaaS integration platforms, and ecommerce platform integrations to assess scope of work, decompose high level requirements and develop lower level stories/tasks. · Collaborates with architecture and development teams to document assumptions and provide software development estimates for new platform enhancements, identify dependencies and risks, and work with team to minimize, mitigate and/or workaround risks. • Creates, owns and maintain system design documentation following standard templates. · Communicates efficiently high-level design recommendations to a highly technical audience as well as to a business audience and obtains buy-in. · Assists QA teams in their test cases creation • Leverages systems and process expertise to analyze and troubleshoot system issues to determine root cause and drive resolution within a fast pace development cycles environment. • Works both independently and in a team environment, and execute with consistent delivery and quality Skills Summary: · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems is required. · Experience developing large scale, multi-tenant, lightning fast web application java development with a solid knowledge of JavaScript / AJAX / HTML5 / CSS3. Experience in a consulting environment is preferred. · Application design experience, UML and JavaScript design patterns a must. · Proficient in creating technical documentation. · Back-end experience within a Java / relational database environment is required. · Experience with MV* Javascript frameworks such as Backbone.js, Angular.js, Ember.js, Handlebars) · Experience with SOAP/REST service integration · Experience in database technologies such as Oracle. · Experience in incorporating and utilizing BDD / TDD / JavaScript unit testing frameworks (Jasmine, Mocha). · Proficient in test strategies, at all stages from unit to regression. · Strong knowledge implementing responsive design techniques. · Experience with Ant or Maven build tools, SVN / GIT source control systems. · Knowledge of what is required to develop highly performance web applications. · SQL and PL/SQL database development experience a significant plus · Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles. · Demonstrable ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget. · Ability to deliver full life cycle engagements. · Ability and desire to thrive in a proactive, high-pressure, client-services, environment.
