Job Title: Software Developer

HR Function: Individual Contributor

Summary: Individual will be responsible for:

•          designing,programming, and validating new features and
enhancements to platform software as defined by product ownersand under the
scrum process guidance of the team’s scrum master

•          acting as the subject matter expert for the
features/functions/infrastructure they develop

•          acting as a key contributor throughout the software development
lifecycle.

This individual must have genuine enthusiasm and passion for technology,
its application to solve business problems, and ensuring the application is
the best it can be.

Importance: Strong developers are needed to support the Agile and SCRUM
methodologies that are utilized by the Platform Development organization to
maintain tight schedules and high quality code bases for all of the
offerings that the organization supports.

Essential Core Programming Skills:

Job Duties:

•          Share responsibility in the design and architecture of  features

•          Ensure that the proper infrastructure is in place for features

•          Analyze complexity and level of effort for features

•          Implement features based on specifications in the most vertical
fashion (i.e., crossing  layers like UI, business rules, database access
layers, external interfaces, and actual database scheme design)

•          Ensure overall quality of implementation and support features
including testing/bug fixing, documentation, localization, installation,
automation, as needed throughout the software development lifecycle

•          Ensure overall quality of their code within the overall project

•          Supports and executes based on the commitments made by their
scrum team to both the sprint and release

•          Write and execute automated unit and functional tests for
features being implemented

•          Conduct/participate in code reviews as required

•          Participate in daily Scrums and in monthly Sprint reviews and
planning meetings as required

and guidance; needs to be able to ask questions and probe for information
from both product owners and team mates.
