*Job Title : Big Data Developer* *Location : Detroit, MI* *Duration : 6-12 Months **Contract* *Start : ASAP* *Position Description* Conduct complex analysis projects involving integrating data across the enterprise. Will investigate and debug any systems, application, and core platform related issues in big data platforms as well as determine the best technical implementation methods and execution schedules. Will be helping develop big data solutions through software development and incorporate/use Apache Hadoop or any Hadoop distributions. futhermnore, will work on data ingestion from external systems and IOT devices *Position Objective:* 1. 3-5+ years experience preferred in predictive, optimization, and simulation models using structured and unstructured data (regression, forecasting, sentiment, basket, etc) o Deploys and enables scalable Big Data technologies and infrastructure o Experience with Kafka, Storm, Spark, Sqoop and Flume 2. Experience wit Big Data enabling technologies/various tools & frameworks that enable capabilities within the Hadoop ecosystem (MapReduce, YARN, Pig, Hive, Hbase, Oozie, Flume, Sqoop) and NoSQL o Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots, and documents complex data systems that may involve predictive, simulation, and optimization models o Devises new algorithm approaches to solving difficult and challenging quantitative problems o Works independently on complex statistical modeling and analysis with very large and complex data structures o Conducts explanatory data analysis and prepares data sources to be analyzed 3. Completes analytic projects requiring collaboration with business stakeholders 4. Strong background in statistical, mathematical, and operation research modeling 5. Excellent ability to query large datasets using SQL queries 6. Solid understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analysis, machine learning, and data mining 7.
