Area of study in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Informatics. 3 - 5 years of experience. Progressive, related application development experience.* *Job Description: * v Contractor will be providing tech support to *ERP System (application that contains financial data, purchasing, inventory control, AP, GL system for member hospitals*). v Technology environment: *Microsoft .net shop; application is IE (Ajax, java script); backend is vb.net <http://vb.net>; SQL 2008; SaaS provider* - store everything for hospitals. v *Not a developer position but needs development skills*. v Identify problems that require code change. Have access to application code, debug code, make recommendation to developer. Test the fix in a separate environment. v Problem solver, jump from one task to another, work on a ticket in the morning, maybe on another ticket on inventory control in the afternoon (not like a developer who works on same project for weeks), likes problem solving v *Write SQL to identify data problems* v Also needs to be able to talk to customer support (*not end client/member hospital but customer support*) on business language, explaining to customer support what the issue is and what the resolution is so customer support can then communicate that back to member hospital. v Performs analysis on software trouble tickets; identifying software issues and recommending corrections to the development team. *This encompasses a knowledge of .Net code and constructing SQL statements to correct production data. * v *Core Competencies: (Proficient) Report Writing; More Query Tools; Microsoft.NET; Object oriented Methodology; Intermediate knowledge of testing and QA procedures*; IIS.
