This person will be very involved in conceptualizing how to improve the user experience and owning the execution. REQUIRED SKILLS: - Portfolio demonstrating ability to understand and apply insight about the people you design for, and some industry/functional expertise, to create experiences customers love. - Actively interprets complex and abstract concepts into solutions that create clarity using critical and creative thinking skills and tools. - Experienced with UX methods and lifecycle, direct experience with techniques involved in understanding and empathizing with customers and end-users to generate user and design requirements. Experience analyzing, synthesizing, and modeling results from research that clearly communicate current/ideal experiences, opportunities, and future intent to cross-functional teammates (e.g., personas, journey, conceptual frameworks). - Examples of effective use of storytelling techniques as a tool for designing interactions. - Range of experience with GUI (web, desktop, mobile), CLI, gestural, and/or hardware interface REQUIRED SKILLS CONTINUED: - Range of experience with GUI (web, desktop, mobile), CLI, gestural, and/or hardware interfaces. - Direct experience designing for enterprise software as a service solution - Has 5-7 years professional experience with the title of “Senior Interaction Designer” or similar. PREFERRED SKILLS: - Product experience/understands product - Involved with one of the local UX communities/organizations. - A formal education in design, HCI, Information Architecture or other UX related field or social sciences (Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology). Bachelors and Masters or above are welcome. - Strong organization, communication, and visual skills - Publicly speaks, writes, or otherwise engages the broader design community discourse. EDUCATION: - BS degree or equivalent experience OTHER SKILLS: - Feels comfortable being held accountable; need to be self-supporting; being proactive about reaching out to other teams for answers/support.
