We need a strong EDI cons for *Electronic Commerce Gateway developer position. *This will be a long term project but to start with it will be of 3 mths and extendable. The detailed job description is as follows : *Job Title: Electronic Commerce Gateway Developer* *We are seeking Developers who have 'heads down development/coding experience'. Not a manager/developer. Prefer LOCAL candidates to the DFW Metro (Dallas, Fort Worth) area as "in person" interviews are required, should the selected candidate qualify, following the initial telephone interview.* Provide Clients’s applications, functional users and trading partners with the development of eCommerce solutions including: - Receiving turnover of new project requests from the Architect Team and taking the development through to a Production state - Creating maps, based on detailed mapping specifications - Setting up various communications methods with internal and external trading partners, including but not limited to AS2, FTP, VAN and JMS - Performing extensive unit, system and integrated testing with internal and external trading partners - Creating detailed project turnover documentation for the Production Support Team to use in their on-going support of the interfaces - Advocate for internal and external eCommerce customers, to take their business requirements and use them to create technical solutions - Bring potential development and support issues to the team for discussion and resolution *Skill Sets:* Required: BS Computer Science *Required Qualifications* Minimum Requirements - College degree (BS/BA) - Strong knowledge of eCommerce processes at a detailed level, including EDI and XML industry standards - Technical skills and prior programming experience are required - Minimum 2+ years experience in B2B eCommerce transactions/processes and tools, including specific experience with Sterling GIS v4.3+ data mapping/transformation - Strong familiarity in data transmission modes such as FTP, VAN, and EDIINT/AS2 - UNIX skills required; scripting knowledge is a plus - Travel < 5% (only on as-needed basis) - Additional experience with middleware tools, such as TIBCO or Informatica, is a plus Additional Qualifications - Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must - Self motivation - Collaborative, partnering and facilitation skills - A very professional approach in relationships with both internal and external customers, business and I/T - Attention to detail and quality - Multitasking on a variety of projects - Ability to easily partner with many teams - Excellent project management skills - Strong design and coding skills *Qualifying Questions: 1.
