Contract could go longer but not likely Location: Phoenix, AZ *Cognos* Report Developer 2 parts to this: Part 1……Being able to get old data cleaned up and ready for additional reporting needs that are coming in for the Cognos 7.4 system Part 2… They need someone with experience in an environment where external applications are communicating with Cognos with the end result of cognos cubes. They have legacy .NET applications that have to talk (through web services written in C# to pass the credentials through to create Cognos cubes. The end result will be web links for individuals to view the cubes. ***They do not necessarily need to be able to program in C#, it would be nice, but what they need to be able to do is tell one of the developers on the team what web services needs to do for this process. Demonstrated ability to develop in Cognos version 7.4. Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards and scorecards with Cognos. Demonstrated ability to develop multi-dimensional cubes with Cognos. Demonstrated ability to develop portal pages with Cognos. 3+ plus years experience working with report / BI tools including Cognos (required), Crystal Reports, Business Objects, etc. 3-5 years experience working with SQL Server, including all recent versions. Must have demonstrated ability to create databases, and create load programs. Other RDBMS knowledge (Oracle, DB2) a plus. Strong experience with SQL, must have worked with nested queries and query optimization. Strong Excel skills including macros and pivot tables.
