Job Title: Enterprise Batch Scheduling (EBS) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Senior Technologist

Job Description
The EBS and DR Lead has overall responsibility for developing, operating,
optimizing, and maintaining the standards, processes, and procedures
associated with enterprise scheduling/automation and disaster recovery.
 This position will support EBS with IT business partners regarding
forecasting and troubleshooting of job related issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
EBS Specific
- Support and train an offshore team who provides level one monitoring and
operations of the Control-M platform.
- Automate, configure, support, optimize, and administer batch scheduling
tools and utilities.
- Analyze and monitor requirements and severity thresholds based upon
business and technical needs.
- Design and program scheduling / automation tools configurations and
scripts to efficiently detect and report on system performance.
- Identifies and recommends modifications to procedures, system parameters,
threshold monitoring triggers, security requirements, etc. to improve
operations support and efficiency. Implements needed modifications.
- Develops and maintains system, process, training, and documentation for
the platform, operations, and monitoring components of the solution.
- Works cross-functionally to analyze and resolve systems problems.
Provides functional backup for the operation of system tools/utilities
platforms outside the incumbent’s primary system responsibilities as
required.
- Provides day-to-day support of Department applications that are related
to Control-M.
- Provide forecast scheduling capabilities and KPI reports.
DR Specific
- Maintains the Disaster recovery plan and coordinates/facilitates routine
testing.
- Coordinate and measure the completion of procedures to facilitate a
failover with IT peers and vendors.
- Facilitate routine testing, including internal and external IT
communications as necessary.
- Develop and maintains vendor relationships pertaining to service and
support issues.
Document and communicate best practices.
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in Data Center operations, optimally
in a similar capacity with responsibility for the configuration,
administration, and/or support of Data Center tools and utilities.
- Previous experience in batch scheduling platforms such as Autosys / TWS /
Control-M is required.
- Familiarity with ITIL (or other) Service Management framework principles.
- Excellent software/hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to provide knowledge transfer
and leadership to other operations team members.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
communication professionally in a corporate environment.
- Overall architectural design experience with IT systems, and how they
interface with business needs preferred.
- Previous experience using scripting languages to code scripts to
facilitate various configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
activities in a MS Windows environment
