*Position: Application Developer -WESB* *Location: Buffalo, NY* *Duration: 6+ Months* This position is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of United's WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus Platform, including external B2B XML Ordering and a variety of internal integrations. It executes based on provided technical design and architecture for projects enabling new functionality, for enhancements extending current functionality, and for system updates related to capacity planning, stability, and performance improvements. The position interfaces with an internal EDI team, various infrastructure teams (middleware, database administrators, etc.), architecture, and internal and external service consumers. *Major Responsibilities:* · Executes on technical design and architecture for projects enabling new functionality, for enhancements extending current functionality, and for system updates related to capacity planning, stability, and performance improvements · Drives deployment planning, including code deployment, back-out readiness, and post-install support · Supports versioning of web service components (services, schema, maps, etc.) and adheres to source code control management best practices during the development process. · Identifies applicable WESB design patterns and implements them · Contributes to work estimates and project planning · Manages Web Service Security, Authentication, and Authorization activities. Maintains service availability. · Performs Performance Tuning, including load balancing, load distribution, high load support, and high payload size support. *Skills/Knowledge Required:* · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Strong analytical and technical skills. *Education and Experience:* · Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field required. · Minimum ten (7) years IT experience · Minimum three (2) years of IBM WESB experience. · Minimum three (2) years of Web Service experience (client & server), including WESB Web Service Experience, SOAP (SOAP over HTTP / HTTPS). · Minimum three (2) years of XML / XML Schema experience, including complex schema (e.g., the OAGIS XML standard). · Minimum one (1) year of WESB / WTX integration experience, including the WESB WTX primitive experience. · MQ / JMS experience *Preferred Experience* · Web Service Security experience, including SAML implementation, Authentication, Authorization. · CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG) experience, including WESB / CTG integration. · Transaction Management experience in WESB. · WESB Performance Tuning experience. · WESB Design Pattern implementation experience. · WSRR experience, including WSRR integration with WESB.
