Following are the project highlights: - The data mart will be built in *SQL Server 2012.* A *BI semantic layer* will need to be developed to provide self service - The ETL application can either be developed using *Informatica or T-SQL*. If there are simple mappings, *T-SQL* is fine. For more complex mappings, Informatica is the preferred tool to use. - The total number of reports to convert is estimated to be at least ten (10) and will most likely be more. MVP will provide the list of reports that are in scope. Reports will need to re-designed as needed. The existing reports are done using reporting multiple tools including *BusinessObjects v6.x, MS Access, MS Excel* and *IBM** SPSS* (*Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)* - The project should begin as soon as possible. The project will need to be completed by December or later (live in production). - MVP will provide a document this week that will contain further details regarding the project objectives, scope, etc. Here is my best projection below of the staffing plan based on the information we currently have. This is subject to change once we receive their project document but, we will most likely need these roles filled below.
