We are looking for a *Instructional Designer, for our client at Austin, TX* *Title: Instructional Designer* *Duration: Initially 6 months duration, with good chances of further 6-12 month extension.* *Location: Austin, TX* *Interview: Phone screen, followed by Skype and/or in-person interviews.* *Job Description:* *1. eLearning Development* • Apply cognitive learning concepts related to on line learning • Use Microsoft PowerPoint , Adobe PhotoShop, Snagit, Adobe Presenter, Adobe Captivate and Adobe Audition for authoring on line learning content • Familiar with content development for desktop, tablet and mobile devices • Understand impact of content development using Flash vs. HTML5 and tools for creation • Use storyboards and ADDIE concepts for course design/development • Understand story-based learning and application to eLearning development • Mentor staff in eLearning Development • Able to package video, simulations, audio and PPT components into an eLearning module *2. Video Production* • Conceive, story-board and/or direct creation of videos • Use video camera, wireless recording devices for capturing visual and audio content • Edit visual and audio content incorporating still images as needed • Familiar with green screen techniques including lighting and creation of alpha channel footage or stills • Familiar with Adobe Premier Pro CS6 or Creative Cloud for video production • Familiar with Adobe After Effects CS6 or Creative Cloud for post-production work • Familiar with Adobe Audition CS6 or Creative Cloud for sound editing • Familiar with file formats, aspect ratios, bit rates and render quality *3. Training Administration* • Manage enrollment in Safari Books Online for employees • Manage use of CISCO learning Credits for training employees • Familiar with Access or SQL database for recording/monitoring and reporting on training initiatives • Act as liaison for training registration for local training provider • Administer a Learning Management System (TRAIN for COA employees) *4. Survey* • Create and deploy survey instruments and analyze survey data *5.
