We have an immediate Openings with Our Direct Client for a Long term contract position *Job Title: Network Design Engineer* *Description:* Top 3 skills manager is looking for: 1.Network design – design L2 / L3 networks for cloud hosting data centers and enterprise networks 2.Virtualization – VMware vSphere and other virtualization environments 3.Customer facing skills – consulting with customers on network design best practices Job Function: Design, consulting and Network Implementation with Collaboration Pod Deployment in a heterogeneous data Center Job Duties: • Analyze and understand data center network requirements for C-Pod • Design network for Pod interconnection to customer’s Data Center • Design and enhance Pod tools – Pod Configurator, IP Template, Deployment tools (MSC), etc. • Work with Santa Clara engineering on network implementation documents for roadmap items • Develops technical solutions and build instructions for manufacturing and training • Assist System Integrators with build instruction changes • Train Professional Services and System Integrators for using above network tools • Setup Test beds for lab testing of large customer networks • Test plan, test development and testing • On-site customer support during commissioning of Pod • Collaborate with network architects on network optimization and Policy enforcements • Validate Configuration post Pod building • Works on multiple projects simultaneously Skills/Qualifications: • Understand Pod Configuration (Networking, Servers and Storage) • Ethernet switching (multilayer) configuration in a data center • Configuration and deployment of Virtual Appliances (VCenter, Vsphere, etc) • VMware DRS,HA, distributed virtual switching • Linux systems administration • Network attached storage over iSCSI or Fiber Channel • Cable plant management (power distribution and networking) • Pod Design and implementation • Network Troubleshooting • Good communication skills • Problem Solving skills *Location: Santa Clara, CA* *Duration: 12+ Months* If you are interested, please send me your updated resume with your contact number.
