*Job Title : Oracle DBALocation : Denver, CODuration : 6+Months ContractRate : 50/hr on C2C* *would have to be someone strong as both an Oracle DBA AND PL/SQL Developer, along with Perl. Perforce is a big plus. * *Their core responsibilities will be:* Builds and deployments to the Oracle Database Work with other DBA’s to help and manage the code Do updates, access permissions, refreshes They take the production database and refresh the database They are also working with SQL Server for the BI clinical piece. They run packages Refresh scripts runnig in Perl Someone who has worked with a software development or cross functional teams is helpful Experience with Perforce (version control) is a huge plus They have releases every other Thursday night which are about 1-2 hours from 10P-12M *Job Description:* Responsible for managing database code – creating required branches and ensuring that code is properly checked-in, managed and deployed to pre-prod and production environments Maintains environment controls and executes builds or updates to the environment adhering to required documentation and notification Works with release management and application configuration manager to coordinate tasks and activities Meets with the Oracle DBA team to support and partner in other database management activities including: Oracle version upgrades, table space sizing, new database builds and patching/maintenance Performs refreshes of environment to maintain a production baseline in pre-prod environments to support application development and testing Ensures that all environments are kept up-to-date with the required version of database code Manages data refreshes or special requests to support product demos or training Implements automation and best practices where gaps are identified Attends daily meetings with team and has a customer oriented mind set to support a fast paced development organization Evening support and weekend support required (estimated at 1 night per week of support from 10pm-12midnight; 1 weekend day a month). *Skills*: Database Configuration Management / Release Management experience Experience with Oracle Data Pump Import/Export utilities required Working knowledge of DB dependencies related to object sequencing for DB builds Ability to multitask and effectively manage a high volume of requests Strong troubleshooting skills needed for DB production support Intermediate-Advanced SQL scripting SQL Tuning experience Knowledge of Oracle AQ DOS/Windows batch scripting, Shell scripts Needs to have STRONG PL/SQL development Oracle objects including but not limited to tables, indexes, procedures, packages, views, triggers, constraints, privileges, schedules, jobs, sequences, synonyms, database links *Preferred Skills*: Expert knowledge in source control tools – Perforce preferred DB Build Automation Cruise Control and ANT experience Oracle table/index partitioning Scripting (Python, Perl) StarTeam API knowledge *Regards,Kanahiya JaiswalProfessional RecruiterSeven Hills Software Technologies IncCarnegie Office Park, Building Six800 N.
