The individual will be responsible for writing/reviewing test cases, data base testing, ETL and Oracle SP for loading the data and publishing test results. The core responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Review functional, design, interface mapping, report specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables • Perform Backend database testing to validate the data using complex SQL queries, PL/SQL, Oracle • Perform Integration test by running ETL jobs, validating data loads, troubleshooting job execution errors and executing test scripts • Validation of BI reports using Cognos tool • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan in HP ALM tool • Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data, data validation • Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results • Participate in, or hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes liaison with development, project management, and customer support • Publish test metrics and issues and resolution for approval on completion of testing.
