Work location is: Bethpage, NY (Long Island). *Job Titles and Basic Descriptions:* *Overall job description: *Each member of this team will be a part of the development of embedded firmware for a high performance network device with intelligence fail-over capabilities. Additional responsibilities may include performance analysis, leveraging firmware to various microprocessor architectures, and specification or creation of development tools. This team will develop, maintain and leverage real-time embedded firmware for a variety of electronic hardware platforms. Each member will be responsible for the design, development, debugging and maintenance of the embedded firmware including Linux application level programming, Linux device driver level programming, and Linux kernel level programming. These people will be working within a team to coordinate project development within a product family development paradigm. *OS Distribution Integration* (1 position) This role will focus on combining the software applications, libraries, drivers, etc. necessary for a fully functional router image. This person will be a senior level developer with at least 10+ years in experience and will also serve as the leader for the project. They will drive the overall implementation and be responsible for the construction of the application development. *Router Feature Development* (3 positions): This role will be tied to building router features (beginning with existing feature set - e.g. network protocols, support-cost-reduction model/web services, network features, various provisioning behaviors, etc.). *TR-069 Integration /Messaging* (1 position): This role will be tied to the implementation and maintaining of the root data model and tying data model objects to the appropriate actions on the system. This person will also initiate the “implement messaging” processes tied to system events & triggers and implement messaging processes in an embedded environment. *Authentication / Cloud Services Integration *(2 positions): This role will be tied to systems integration and development. These people will be implementing and tying device and/or user identity from initial association through the network to targeted cloud services in an embedded environment/client *MUST HAVES:* - Hardware Software – Understanding Protocol Stacks - Developing and extending Network Applications in an embedded environment. - Linux Kernel. OpenRG Linux · Experience with continuous integration in a provisioning process. · Extending embedded device feature set by extending and developing the platform upon which future services and applications will be developed. · Embedded framework for existing and future devices. · Experience in coding C, C++, JAVA, various network stack development/integration activities, scripting, etc.): *Preferred skills**: * · Experience with WAN management protocols · File and Print Sharing functions. · Experience in utilizing and configuring Samba and Cups. · Experience in Ioctl System Programmer · Familiar with Software Defined Networks · LUA *Qualifications: * *each qualification listed below applies to all roles listed above. - BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. - 7+ years C/C++ programming experience preferred. - 7+ years working in a Linux programming environment preferred. - Experience in scripting languages a plus - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Network programming (protocol stacks) - Java - C, C++ - Firmware - Linux / Unix – scripting - Embedded - IOCTL *Extra Recruiting notes:* We are really seeking consultants who are passionate, dedicated, inquisitive, and real “learners”, and go-getters.
