This is just a quick email as I joined the OpenABM list just now and I wanted
to introduce myself and the MASS group. I want to thank Rob Allan for
catalysing this :-)

I am a researcher based at the University of Leeds. I specialise in
computational geography and eResearch. I am working on a number of projects
that involve social simulation. I have a broad range of applied interest, not
least is my interest in road safety and how to avoid and mitigate risk.
Generally I am intersted in making geographical models and applying them to
help understand and solve problems.

I look forward to taking part in list discussion and encouraging collaboration.
The MASS group is based mainly in Leeds where I work, but is expanding with
membership from various mainly UK institutions. The MASS group make use of the
UK National Centre for e-Social Science (NCeSS) Sakai Portal which provides a
wiki and other tools to help us organise. MASS stands for Multi Agent Systems
and Simulation. The home page of the MASS Wiki can be found via the following

Best wishes,

Andy
