I had some kind of SuSE kernel on a test opteron box for some weeks and during that time I made some tests with Arla. The results of that tests can be found at
/afs/stacken.kth.se/ftp/pub/arla/random-patches/opteron-against-0.36pre29.patch However, I believe it is rather a kernel ".23" problem than an opteron problem. I can't reconstruct what I did that time because I don't have any SuSE+opteron combination available now.
